Is there a unique way to identify that, something similar to org id in salesforce. company has a dropbox instance and it also has different subsidaries which have their own dropbox instance. I have had a Dropbox account for years, and I recently downloaded the Dropbox app on my iphone 15, which I got to replace a previous iphone that I damaged beyond the ability to use. I am logged into Dropbox on my Mac and in my browser. When I went to log into the Dropbox app on my new phone, I was presented with an interface to create a new account, but not to log in. I went ahead and entered my email and password for my existing account in that interface, thinking it would provide me with a login interface once it recognized that an account with those credentials already exists. I have received a new work laptop with Win 11 installed. After installing DropBox on it, I tried to log in, so far quite a few times, but every time, I get a red message that says sorry your code may have expired, even though I enter the code immediately, so the problem is definitely not expiration. I have a NEW MAC and uploaded the Dropbox app to the desktop using a business email instead of my personal one which I have always used, has expanded memory and ALL my files. Now every time I open Desktop the empty account comes up and I have to log into my original account. I am beyond frustrated with this as I need my files backed-up daily and do not want files to inadvertently start getting saved to the new account. I have read other responses that say you cannot link 2 personal accounts, one must be a business account. The only way I can see my Dropbox experience files working seamlessly is by making one of these accounts a business account. Am I correct? Is this possible? What's it going to cost me. I have a new computer and want to install and use dropbox on it. I can access dropbox via the browser, no problem (login, etc). I downloaded and installed the db desktop app, and it installed, created the icon on the desktop and folder in the C drive, but no files appear (it is empty). When I installed the app I didnt see any login page for the account. So it apparently thought I didnt have an account, or it picked up the UN from the browser (which is not what is on the db account). It is still accessible on my other computers - works great.
