I need to access my old account. Two-step verification appears to be on. Code was sent to my old phone number, which has changed. I now have a new phone and new number. (Old phone no longer works as the screen is shattered/doesn't power on) I don't recall having an emergency backup code on hand either. I need to get into my old account. My email address for my old account is <SNIP> I know the password. I NEED TO TALK TO CUSTOMER SERVICE BY PHONE OR EMAIL A/S/A/P. I NEED A LIVE PERSON PREFERABLY. (I had to create a new email address, Google account, etc. all because two-step verification was "on". Apparently most of my online activity was linked to my old number, which no longer exists. I find it super frustrating...) There are very important files on my original account that I need to retrieve/get back. I created this new account (that I'm using to type this) just so that I can file a complaint and hopefully get some answers/HELP! *Edit: I no longer have the SIM card to my previous phone, which was a Samsung Galaxy A10e ... Ugh! *@$!&#Solved46KViews3likes14Comments"Invalid Email Or Password" when the team is trying to log into Dropbox on all platforms.
My team has dropbox downloaded on several devices. Mobiles & Tablets: both IOS and Android. Computers: Mac and PC - yet for some reason we cannot go online (tried most browsers) and access the dropbox account online. I manage the account and have not changed the password, so why do we all get the "Invalid Email or password" message? - And yes - I have cleared history.Solved32KViews2likes16CommentsI don't have access to my account's email, so I can't receive the 6-digit code to sign in.
Please help me. I have email address and password. Each time I try to login it sends access code to email that no longer exists and I do not longer have access to. How can I get logged in?Solved139Views0likes8CommentsCan I view my account's complete login history?
Hello all! How can I view when my complete history of when I logged in to my Dropbox account? Of course, under personal account -> security, I can see some of this activity. How can I see the complete activity? If that's not possible, is it possible to see the complete history (times, dates, IP address) of the times my account opened one of my own files? I need to see my account's activity back in the fall of 2016. Many thanks for your consideration and time!Solved12KViews0likes3CommentsNot receiving the verification email
I am not receiving my verification email. I have attempted this multiple times, on multiple browsers and platforms as well as my cell phone. I have confirmed with my email security provider that no-reply@dropbox.com is allowed. They see email from that address being sent to others in their system. I am also able to send email to my dropbox and it saves the attachment. I have checked my quarantine, junk mail, etc, and the email is just not being received at all. There are 2 other people with the same email domain that have just attempted creating dropbox accounts that are experiencing this same issue. One of whom is now working after the suggestion to try sending the email verification from a different browser. I have created a new email account, then created a new dropbox account (still with the same email domain), and I'm still not receiving the verification email. I have also tried sending the email verification from a different browser with no success. To add to these woes, your support bot is as usefull as a hole in a boat surrounded by sharks. Suggestions on how to proceed or just forget about dropbox and move on to another platform?3.4KViews0likes17CommentsCannot log in to my account because my email address is no longer active

Hello, My Dropbox account has been hacked and my email address changed so that I am now unable to access my files (but the hacker is). What can I do about this please? This is my personal information. Thanks for your help.2.9KViews0likes10CommentsI received a Dropbox survey invitation on the desktop app, that looks suspicious. Is this real?
"Got a few minutes? Get $5. Help us make Dropbox better". The window name is "Sprig electron view" (so it's not even using the standard Windows notification service). Anyway, the only notifications I have enabled are: "files and folders shared with me" new files synced edits to files , so I don't think disabling any of them would help. What is going on? This is on a Family plan.Solved383Views0likes8CommentsEnable EU Data Residency for smaller Dropbox teams under 10 licenses.
As a Dropbox Business user, I believe it's essential to have the option to store our data within the European Union, even for teams with fewer than 10 licenses. Due to compliance obligations (e.g., GDPR and internal data protection policies), many companies require data residency within the EU, especially in regulated industries or working with European clients. The current limitation that only teams with 10+ licenses can request EU data storage is restrictive and excludes smaller teams or startups that still have strict compliance needs. I strongly suggest that Dropbox consider enabling EU data residency for smaller teams, starting from 3 users, or at the very least, for any team using business-level licenses. This would significantly increase the product’s appeal for professional users with legal or contractual data localization requirements. We appreciate Dropbox’s commitment to privacy and flexibility, and we hope this improvement can be considered in future updates.657Views1like2Comments
