The other main cloud storage providers both have spreadsheet editing software. And they apparently no longer support Dropbox. My only option to have a shared spreadsheet stored in the cloud with easy editing ability seems to be to use either Google sheets (with Google drive) or Microsoft Excel (with one drive). Your PDF markup feature is fantastic. Something like that would be great. Hit the edit button and bingo you can enter some data. No downloading or opening in a 3rd party app.Solved173Views0likes10CommentsI'm no longer able to edit documents in Word/Excel on iOS
I’m using a basic account on an iPad mini and have had no problems over the years opening and editing documents in word and excel. I recently switched to the newest model (7 with iOS 18.3.2), updated Dropbox, word and excel, restarted the tablet and am continuously being asked to activate Microsoft 365 to edit documents. I’ve tried just entering my Hotmail info which has worked in the past but it says subscription not found. My Dropbox account is showing in word on the left hand side as an other storage option and I can view and open all of my documents but can’t edit them. How can I fix this?685Views0likes21CommentsI can't edit my Paper docs after migration. Any ideas?
I love Paper application, because is lite easy to use and verry fast to search in it .... but starting yesterday, i found all my papers moved inside dropbox in a folder called "Migrated Papers Docs" and now I saw that I am not able to edit it any more and the search is working only for title not for the content or at least is not so sharp like was 2 days ago. Do you have any ideea?101Views0likes1CommentCan’t edit Dropbox files in Excel anymore. Get an error about the file not being able to open.
I’ve always been able to open an Excel file in Dropbox to edit it. It was very simple…click the file, click Open In, choose Excel, make my edits, click “return to Dropbox”, refresh, and the file now had my edits. Now, however, when I click on Open In, choose Excel, I get a message that says “sorry, something went wrong and the file can’t be opened”. Super frustrating. I’ve signed out and back in, unlinked and relinked Excel Online on the actual Dropbox website, not the app. Have searched Dropbox help. I have a Microsoft 365 account, so I’ve also tried logging in and out of it. I’ve gone through setting on both applications, but no matter what I do, I no longer am able to edit this file, which means I have to upload and replace the file whenever I need to make changes. The file is shared, but I need to share it. Please help.Solved223Views0likes2CommentsLost my updates on an Excel file after 'Resource Deadlock' warning
I was working on a file on Excel, I thought I had saved but possibly not. The file was live in my window. Excel did not crash, but when I went back to Excel - it had disappeared and when I tried opening it I got a Resource Deadlock Warning. I wasn't connected to the internet at the time. I probably should have checked my old files then but it didn't occur to me. When I was next on the internet I opened the file and it was a file from over 3 weeks ago. I have since searched everywhere on version history/events and my hard disk temporary files for the old file but only the version from September has come up. I feel probably no way of recovering but thought worth checking what went wrong and if anyone else has had this problem. Not sure if it is a dropbox or excel issue or a combination of the two.269Views0likes2CommentsMy Excel formulas don't show properly on Dropbox.
My team and I work on a shared excel spreadsheet on dropbox. Recently we have had the issue that our formulas do not want to pull through correctly. The formula's solution only loads in when my the page is refreshed. Can someone please advise on how to fix this?1KViews0likes14Comments
