Syncing has been stuck with "Updating 974 files" for about 24 hours now.
Meanwhile, it has both uploaded and downloaded quite a few files that changed during that period.

My gut feeling is that these 974 stuck files are the sames that are corrupt on the disk. If Finder and other Mac apps can't read them, probably Dropbox's process can't either.
I could try to boot to safe mode and remove these files via terminal by more brute force but I would still need to get the back from my previous Backup from Dropbox. However these files are no longer on dropbox.com... since the Dropbox app updated itself.
