Yes, after a few attempts, i somehow managed to install the beta version as recommended by @Walter (but the process is not so clear cut for a non-IT guy like me), and now it works again.
Question is, how long do I stay on this beta version and when a new update is available, does it mean that i'll be back to the public version once I update the app again?

I reckon the next version of the app should be fixed. Beta tests are usually the last lap before public release.
