Drop Box Web/Website Not accessible
Hi I have the Dropbox app installed on my phone and desktop. On my desktop I cannot access Dropbox via a web browser. On my phone this is possible. The error on my browser (Mozilla) reads; Unable t...

The first thing I'd check is if the HOSTS file is blocking the Dropbox site. You can find the location for the file using these steps.
The Dropbox site wouldn't appear in the HOSTS file normally, unless an app or service is doing it.

5 years agoCould you try running the browser in incognito mode, with no extensions and plugins running, to see if it can connect?
Try opening command prompt (Windows key + R, then type cmd), and then type ping dropbox.com.
Even if it fails to ping back, if you see an IP address there, which should look like xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, try typing that into the browser and keep me updated.

Hi
I have tried incognito mode and checked on extensions and I don’t have any installed to turn off.
Ran cmd prompt as an admin, pinged the Dropbox server (127.0.0.1) and got a response.
So no luck 😞
