Dropbox thumbnails not showing on my Google Chromebook
So I'm trying to transfer files from laptop to laptop, Google Chromebook OS' 32-bit to 64-bit (Linux) if that helps any. It worked, to some degree... But for some reason the thumbnails will not load in my files app. And pretty much nowhere else besides the Dropbox website/app itself. And it's quite irritating. Attached image is an example. All of these images are supported file types and whether or not they're too big doesn't even matter, because NONE of the images I transferred into Dropbox are loading on this laptop. And the images I save on this computer load. I've already tried a couple things like uninstalling, logging out, restarting my computer and such. I don't get any error messages or nothin either and when I want to send an image it does so just fine.

Hi there, @FungusSausage, thanks for reaching out to our Community.
Can you give us some info on how you transferred/added these files to your Dropbox?
Is the issue present on both the ChromeBook and the Linux computer?
Also, are you able to open the image files on the ChromeBook as normal, despite the thumbnails not showing up?
Let me know and we'll go from there.

It's happening on both of my computers, and I transferred the images through dropbox via the "upload folder" option.
I am capable of opening the images on both devices and they show up, but the thumbnails will not show. - Walter2 years ago

Thanks for clarifying that for us @FungusSausage
Can you please clarify where exactly are you spotting the issue with the thumbnails as it's not quite clear to me from your screenshot?
Is this when you navigate your files locally on your devices or via a 3rd party app perhaps?

Right, when Dropbox syncs my photos to my files app on my laptop, and makes a new folder for dropbox, the folders-images do not show the Thumbnails to images when I open a folder.

Hey @FungusSausage, unfortunately, for security reasons, we can't access the link you gave us.
Is it possible to attach a series of screenshots in your next reply, showing the process and what you see?

I have the same issue. Did you ever find a solution?

I'm scouring the interwebs trying to find a solution for this. I hate that these posts rarely post the solution!
