Got thrown out of my Paper Document. Can't reopen it now.

Device
Macbook Pro M1 Pro
Operating System/Browser (if using the web)
macOS12.6

Question or Issue

I was working inside of a Paper document I had created. Mid typing I was thrown out of my document. A popup appeared that I lost connection. After restarting my wifi I'm still not able to get back in to the document. I tried a different browsers, private mode, VPN. I also tried opening it on my phone through the Dropbox app. No luck. Tried sharing the document with a friend and still get the same error.

Is there any way the progress was atleast saved somewhere so I can acces this and make a backup?

mo36, to clarify, have you tried going to paper.dropbox.com directly in your browser and searching for the doc by title or keywords, instead of using the direct link to the actual document?

If that doesn't work, can you try checking the Doc history to see saved versions of the file and possibly recover from there? Let us know the results

You can find instructions on how to check the version history of the doc here

    Hi Walter,

It only affects this specific Dropbox Paper File. I can create new one's and edit & share these with no problem.

Hi there mo36 - thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Since you've done most of the troubleshooting already, can you just clarify if this is affecting only one Dropbox Paper file, some or all?

    Thank you!
