how do I download all of my dropbox files?

DropBox has served me flawlessly, and conveniently, for many years. But now I'm retiring, and plan to leave the service.

DropBox syncs my Projects folder. I'd like to download everything from DropBox, but I'm not sure how to do it? Is there a simple way to be sure that all of my Project files now live on my Mac? The data is about 300 Gb.

Hey msadesign, I hope you're having a great day!

There are two ways you can achieve downloading all of your data:

One would be for you to install the Dropbox desktop application to your device. That will essentially create a Dropbox folder, with your account's folders in it. You could then copy them, as a backup.

Another way is (but not very convenient since you have 300GB of data) for you to download through the Website. However you would need to do this for each folder individually.

Can you try and let me know how it goes?

    Keep me posted!
