I cant download files...mac says insufficient permission
please help I lost me 3 important folder....desktop.....documents... and downloads. I cant download them from dropbox

It sounds like you've enabled computer backup on your desktop app.
Can you please clarify one thing for me, before we look into this further? You mention that you're having a permissions issue when trying to download these folders from Dropbox.
What steps are you following exactly to do this? Can you please describe them to me, so that I may suggest something else?

It seems I inadvertently deletd drop box and my desktop, documents and dounloads folder. very bad.
I see them on dropbox online but when i click to download they say insufficient pasmission

i believe something is messed up on my imac that wont let me download my files.
