I can't see my "syncing issues" or new updates when I check my Dropbox folder.
Device
(Dell precision 3551)
Operating System
(Windows 11,)
Dropbox App Version
(232.4.5988)
My dropbox says it has sync issues but when I select show me the issues it just shows me a blank window. Not sure if that is related, I think I have always had that but wanted to add just in case.
I have been finding recently that my dropbox files and folders haven't been up to date, new files haven't been showing on my desktop file explorer although I have everything set to sync online only. If I go to dropbox.com, it also wont give me the option to view these files in file explorer like other folders (see images).
Has anyone else experienced this or knows what it might be?

Hey CSavage, let's see what we can find together about this!
Would you mind clarifying the app's current syncing status? You can find both by hovering your mouse over the little Dropbox icon in your taskbar next to your WiFi.
One more thing I'd like for you to try is to sign out of the app, and then back in. Do you notice the same behavior when you do?
Is it possible that some of your files/folders use any invalid characters, hence why they can't properly sync? That is if you aren't already using flexible file names on the Dropbox app.
Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

Hello Megan, it says it's doing this (see image).
I signed out of the app earlier (2hrs ago) as I looked at a trouble shooting section earlier. I think that's perhaps why it's suddenly saying it's downloading 2,392 files, but I'm not entirely sure it is actually doing that!
I've renamed all the folders I want to access, but I couldn't see any issues with characters on dropbox.com
To tell you the truth I don't really take any notice of the syncing information usually, as it never seems to be accurate/representative of what is happening, and it usuallly brings me to that blank sync issues window which is pointless. I usually have access to everything via the desktop app, it's only been the last few weeks that I have noticed folders and files not matching to what others can see in my team.
Thank you for getting back to me, hoping we can get to the bottom of it 🤞 - Hannah3 months ago

Thanks for the update here, CSavage.
Checking out the sync status of the app should be accurate, but if it isn't perhaps there's an issue with the installation.
What's the sync status now? Is it stuck on that same number or is it moving?
If you see that it's completely stuck, I'd also suggest uninstalling the app, restarting the computer and then reinstalling it, which should also resolve the issue with the blank window, but keep us posted with the results in any case.

Hello Hannah, it has changed, it has increased slightly, so hoping that it doesn't need a reinstall.
Is there a way on the desktop that I can force a particular folder to update? - Megan3 months ago

Hey CSavage!
Are you able to adjust your bandwidth settings through the app's preferences under the Bandwidth or Network tab, to adjust it to "No limit"?
Here are the steps if you need to force sync a folder. However, I'd also suggest an uninstall if the number of files on your syncing status doesn't improve.

Hey CSavage!
That'd work.
If you know your connection speed, you can set your preferred Limit upload rate and Limit download rate.
I'll be waiting for your updates!

My Sync Issues window is also blank when there are files that won't sync. In my case, I know which files aren't syncing and they will eventually sync when I close the corresponding application, so it's not a problem. I'm just commenting so you know that the blank window isn't a one-off issue.
