It takes AGES to download files
I don't know why but it suddenly got super slow, 1 day to download 7gb to give you and idea. I have a family plan.
I've already checked my internet connection and it's fine; I've already tried to download the same files from Google drive and it works fine there; I've already checked the dropbox broadband and it's not restricted and also I've already tried to uninstall and reinstall.
When I tried to upload something it works with no issue, so the problem is related only to download.
I'm a Mac user.
I don't really know where the problem could be !
Does the issue persist after clearing your browser's cache or on another browser/incognito window riccardo28?

Hey riccardo28, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Are you referring to downloading files from our website?
Or is the Dropbox desktop app taking a long time to sync files to your computer?
If the latter, which version of Dropbox are you using?
You can see that by hovering over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar with your mouse.
Keep me posted.

Hi riccardo28, Amacc1920, do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?
- riccardo283 years agoHelpful | Level 5
no, there are no restrictions for that,
I have a Mac with macOS Monterey 12.5.1

Hey riccardo28, sorry to jump in, but have you tried rebooting your computer and router at all since you first noticed this?

Ok I solved the problem (in part). Basically the Dropbox app started to work when I set the synchronization folder by folder, because I didn't have enough space on my PC to synchronize directly all the files in one shot. It was a bit annoying because I had to synchronize a single folder and then move those files to the external hard-disk, de-synchronize the old folder and repeat these steps for every folder. The problem that it still takes a lot of time to directly download files from the website version, remain tho. I don't really know what could be.
