Latest Android app breaks viewing log files
Latest Android app 320.2.10 breaks viewing log files (files with .log extension).
It now shows the following error message instead of launching the default app set (in my case Log File Viewer) or asking the user which app should be used for viewing:
"Couldn't open <filename.log>
Please download an app that supports this kind of file or try opening it on a computer to make edits."
Please fix.

Hi moftot, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you try exporting the file directly to the app you're using in order to view the log file to see if this helps?
This will help me to assist further!
- moftot3 years agoExplorer | Level 4There is no such feature Export file under Share. Only Send link, Send copy of file and Copy link. And even if there were, it's too tedious to do every time I want to view a log file.
It works correctly with other files types, eg .txt, and it's been working with .log files for many years.
Please fix broken functionality. - Jay3 years ago

If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try uninstalling the app, rebooting the device, and re-installing it to see if this helps?
- moftot3 years agoExplorer | Level 4No change whatsoever after uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling.

could you try doing the same with the third party app you're using to open the log files?
- moftot3 years agoExplorer | Level 4That didn't change anything either. Also removed it as the default app for .log files.

Hey moftot, if you haven't done so already, also clear the Dropbox app's cache from your settings and let us know how that goes.
- moftot3 years agoExplorer | Level 4Already tried that before reinstalling.
- spc114003 years agoExplorer | Level 4I am facing the same problem. It's annoying and I can't understand why is it so hard to fix. Or could you guys just give us a previous version before this bug starts to happen?

When will this bug be fixed?
