Solved

My files show a cloud and I can't open them or get them to download to get the green check.

My files show a cloud and I can't access them or get them to download to get the green check. I thought if I clicked on the cloud that I could get them to synch but nothing. Any ideas how I can download the files and folders that have become online only? Thanks in advance for your help!

  • Hi priscale - welcome to out Community!

At first, can you control-click (for Macs) or right-click (for Windows) and see if you get an option for Smart Sync>Local?

While at it, what's the desktop app reporting exactly in your computer's system tray/menu bar

    Keep me posted!

Thanks so much Walter for taking the time to write! Walter was my dad's name so that makes this especially cool. I really appreciate your help. Yes, control clicking brought up Smart Synch and making it local was exactly what I needed... thank you!

Not seeing the 'Accept as Solution' button, but if you can mark my query solved, that would be awesome. Thanks again Walter!

Thanks for your sweet reply and keeping me in the loop priscalear (I guess you're the same person as priscale from a different account - right?)

I'm glad it's sorted now - I marked the solution for you; no worries - and if you ever come up with any Dropbox question, don't hesitate to give me a nudge here on our Community; I'm always a post away :nerd:

    Have a lovely day/evening!
