My iPad will not allow any offline files, getting a yellow triangle instead

First I don't know if I selected the correct category.

I have a Dropbox account that I use to sync documents between 2 IPads. On 1 of the IPads it wont let me use the offline function. Every time I turn it on the file instead of turning green it goes to a yellow triangle with a white eclamation point.

  • I have deleted the app and reinstalled.
  • Both IPads have the same IOS.
  • The IPads are identialical.
  • I only upload the files to dropbox they are not reisident on a computor.

  • Jay,

I went to General, IPad storage, Dropbox and used the offload app button. It froze for a long time then I reinstalled the app and it allowed me to set all the files to offline. I guess its fixed for now.

    Thanks Craig

Hi celittle, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Are the devices connected to the same WiFi network? Are you able to use cellular data instead?

This will help me to assist further!

How large are the files you're trying to offline?

Have you tried clearing the cache on the iPad, uninstalling the app, rebooting the device, and re-installing it to see if this helps?

Files are small, all PDFs. both IPads are identical.

I deleted the app and reinstalled no help. What cache are you refering to?
