Printing an Excel document to PDF
I have an excel document in Dropbox. I want to print or save it as a pdf (doesn't matter which, ,just need to convert it). I try "print as PDF" and there is a download button. I click 'print to pdf' and then click download, The screen view goes from the print screen back to the document but nothing else. I cannot find the pdf document it printed. No menu showed where it downloaded, no pop up appeared to say done, just nothing happened.
Where do I find the downloaded PDF when printed from an excel document?

Welcome aboard the Community, Kluski!
Can you let me know what’s the size of the Excel file you tried to convert? Is it possible that it was more than 200MB?
Also, I’d like you to clarify which browser you’re using in order to convert/download your file.
Give me a nudge when you’ve got more details.

Perfect.
Can you please go to the icon with the 3 dots that should be located on the top right corner of your Chrome browser, and click on it? After that, please select “Downloads” and let me know if you can’t see your downloaded file there.
If you don’t see it, please try opening another browser on your computer, and check if the same thing keeps happening there, too. That’ll help us isolate the issue more.
- Kluski3 years agoExplorer | Level 3I tried both in Chrome and in Microsoft Edge. When I go to download in both browsers it is blank, no indication of the file being 'printed to pdf' or downloaded from Dropbox

Thanks for giving that a go.
Is this happening for any file that you’re trying to convert to a PDF or just the specific one? Can you check this with another file, if possible, and let me know how it goes?
Also, I'd like you to open an incognito window on your Chrome browser and log in to your Dropbox account from there. Dos this allow you to convert your file to a PDF perhaps?
- Kluski3 years agoExplorer | Level 3It is excel files in general. I can convert Word docs and jpg to pdf, just not excel. And I originally tried with incognito mode.

Hey Kluski, sorry to jump in here, but I'm afraid that Excel files cannot currently be converted through Dropbox.
You can see a list of file types you can convert here.
- Kluski3 years agoExplorer | Level 3Thanks for letting me know. I'm 2023 that is rather shocking that this isn't a capability that's available. Hopefully this catches up to the rest of modern day technology.

Hi,
Can I just ask why that is? According to other posts I can see about this issue, this feature appears to have previously been available. Considering how much you've increased your prices by recently, it seems a bit strange to be removing basic features.

When I view an Excel file, there is an option to export as a PDF:
File > Export > Download as PDF
However, the function just does not work.I've tried on Chrome and Firefox and also on both browsers in private mode (all extensions disabled).
Seeing as Dropbox don't offer any support, does anyone here know if this is rectifiable?
