"To ensure security, we need to verify your identity."

When trying to open a file on Dropbox, I am encountering a login authentication named "To ensure security, we need to verify your identity."

Under what conditions does this occur?

Two types of logins occur and the macro stops.

Hey there Questar - sorry to hear about this.

Could you send us a screenshot of the exact error you're getting so that we can have a look too?

Also, are you on a mobile device or on a desktop one?

Keep us posted and we'll take it from there.

We will send you a screenshot.
The device will be a URL device in use.

    No desktop application is used.

    Under what conditions?
We would like to know what kind of conditions cause the problem.

    problem-free URL

Hi Questar, it appears that you're getting this message when viewing a shared link or shared folder, which would require you to login to Dropbox.

The first URL you added was the link to logout of Dropbox.

If you’re running macros, that might be messing with how Dropbox sees the logins too, especially if it’s trying to switch between logins.

It’s kind of like when other platforms ask for KYC verification to make sure you’re legit.
I’d suggest clearing your browser cache or trying to log in from a different device. If it still doesn’t work, you might want to hit up Dropbox support.
