Old files still show up on the mobile app after I re-organized my files
I have completed a reorganization on my desktop DROPBOX folder (located under the C drive, users, my name, Dropbox). I just finished downloading all of the files. They are available on the web and show up correctly. However, on my mobile phone app for Dropbox, the old Dropbox files are still showing up. I have logged in and out, but this does not help. I have looked for the old files on the web but do not see them. How can I delete these old backups and where are the files?
Thank you
Steven

You can manage your backups from the Backups page.

Hey pasteve99, thanks for reaching out to our Community.
If this has to do with your backups, make sure to check Rich's reply above.
If not, it might be possible that you'll need to clear the Dropbox app's cache.
You can find the steps on how to do this on an Android device here.
For iOS devices, open the Dropbox app, tap "account" > tap the gear icon > "clear cache".

Thank you Rich. When I go into Backups I see two folders: Dropbox and Files. I do not see all of the folders under FILES that are on my mobile Dropbox app. The dropbox folder looks fine. Should I delete the FILES folder? I assume this will not delete my DROPBOX files? Thank you

Would you mind sending us a screenshot of what you see in the backups page, pasteve99?

Thanks, Steve!
These look like external drives you have backed up to your Dropbox, however, I don't think they're related to the original issue.
The issue is that the Dropbox mobile app is showing you files which, after your re-organization, are no longer in the account, right?
Have you tried the suggestions I made on my first reply above?

Yes they are external drives. Yes you are correct. I am seeing all files that were backed up previously from the external drive which I no longer want or need. I had to add storage to my account as it would not handle all the extra files. Yes, I did do your suggestion with clearing out the cache. I also logged out and back in but no luck. They are all still there.

Hmm, that's pretty strange, indeed.
Can you check and confirm that your mobile app is linked to the same account you're signed into on the website and the desktop app?

Wow Hannah...that was it! I must have created a dropbox account with another email. I am going to delete that account and work with the correct email. Thank you very much for all your assistance!
