Permanently deleting images in shared folder.
I have many years old folders in my shared folder list. But under each folder it says that they are not in dropbox. Ho can I permanently delete these folders?
Ar they counted against my limit?
I guess I did have another account. Someone added me to their account. I'm going to close that account. Thanks for your info.

I assume you are seeing this via the Dropbox website? If they are saying they are not in your Dropbox then they are not using quota 🙂

How do I delete these folders? Why is Dropbox telling me that my account is full? I have about 350 small files that I recently uploaded. This does not come close to filling my account. Where are the images that tells DB that my account is full?
Thx, Steve

If it says 'Add to Dropbox' then it isnt in your account and is not using your quota.
Any that are on your account would say 'remove from Dropbox'.
If it says you are over quota the files you have uploaded are too large (you can see more info at www.dropbox.com/account/plan) BUT also check you have not set up Backups at www.dropbox.com/backups

Hi steveschneider, happy Monday!
Essentially, since the content isn't part of your Dropbox account, you can't remove it. You see it under your sharing tab, because someone invited you to be a part of it.
As for the account being full, can you send me a screenshot of your plan page, and what it reports?
Let me know more!

It says that I have about 600 mb of space being used. Then why did I get the latter saying that I am out of space???

Hey steveschneider, sorry to jump in here.
For shared folders that you've temporarily deleted (or are not added to your Dropbox), you can click on the ellipsis (...) button there on the right on your "Shared" tab and click "remove me".
That should permanently delete them from your Shared tab too.
As for the email you received, is it possible that you received it on a different address than the one associated with your Dropbox?
That would mean that you probably have a second Dropbox account, that is full.
