Context menu disappeared from Dropbox app on Win11 build 194.4.6267
Hi all,
it's a bit of time that I no longer see Dropbox options in the context menu on Win 11 (right mouse click).
Due to this problem I can't select what files or folders I want to have available online or offline .
I can't find an answer or a solution, but I need to free some space on the local drive.
If anyone can help I will appreciate a lot!
Thanks
Riccardo

Thanks for posting this on our forum, RiCo67!
If you look at your system tray, do you see a small Dropbox icon close to your clock settings? If yes, I want you to click on it and clarify the syncing status it reports.
In case the Dropbox icon isn’t showing at all, I’d like you to go to your Start menu instead and relaunch the Dropbox app from your Programs.
Let me know how that goes.

Thanks Nancy and sorry if I've been so late..
Yes the tray icon is present and it shows "files are updated"
Everything works fine, I just can't find the context menu to choose what files/folders I want to have offline or online only

Hi RiCo67, could you attach a screenshot showing then context menu when you right a file or folder in your Dropbox folder directly (and not via a Quick Access menu)?

Thanks, could you try reinstalling the desktop app, without uninstalling it first, using this link?

Hi, thanks. Reinstalled, but nothing changed. Same as before

Hey there from me, RiCo67!
It might sound trivial, but have you tried to re-start your device at all?
I'm asking because to attempt to investigate something related to a visual issue on your Dropbox the best first step is for you to try restarting your computer and see if the issue persists. Restarting your computer will reload the Dropbox visual elements.
Also, is it possible that you recently updated your Windows' OS?

Hi Megan, thanks.
Yes my Win PC is restarted every day,(it never stays in suspend mode). When I finish my work day in the studio, I always turn (totally) off my PC.
Win 11 usually get updated automaticlly, but this problem we're talking about is a long time issue.. I just decided to write here last week..

Hey RiCo67, I see, thanks for letting me know!
Have you tried the steps our Community Manager posted here, by any chance?

Hi Megan, I tried the steps to modify Win 11 Registry, nothing changed ( I put a 01-02-...10 before the DropboxExt01 and so away).
In the screenshot attached you see how non modified registry is.
