4 years agoAre you using Thunderbird as your mail provider by any chance, given the info from this thread?
Have you tried searching for the localized file in Finder directly on your whole machine?

i used thunderbird up until last summer, but no longer use it. i have had no luck searching for the ".localized" file on my machine.

If you're not able to locate it, then it wouldn't be possible to resolve this behavior. Have you enabled hidden files in Finder to try searching for the file that way?

I am having exactly the same issue with a ".localized" file that Dropbox cannot take me to, and that I cannot locate in Finder, even if I enable views of hidden files (with CMD-Shift-.).
- mikemohr3 years agoHelpful | Level 5Hopefully this can kickstart the troubleshooters into figuring this out. I frankly stopped even trying to use the sync service with my laptop, and have to manually upload files via the web, which is insane, as I’m paying for this service. Would love it if someone would care enough to try and solve this issue.
