I am having exactly the same issue with a ".localized" file that Dropbox cannot take me to, and that I cannot locate in Finder, even if I enable views of hidden files (with CMD-Shift-.).

Hopefully this can kickstart the troubleshooters into figuring this out. I frankly stopped even trying to use the sync service with my laptop, and have to manually upload files via the web, which is insane, as I’m paying for this service. Would love it if someone would care enough to try and solve this issue.
