Error 400 when trying to open a link someone shared

This Error 400 message keeps popping up. I don't use dropbox too often but it first happened a week ago with one file. Eventually, a friend resent the link days later and it worked.

Now someone else has sent me a link, and error 400 again. I've tried incognito mode, no luck. Tried it on my phone, no luck. Cleared cache and all./

 

What's going on?

    Hi from me too, monica97! Can you please click on the “Link for editing” option and send us a screenshot of what you see there, as well? 

     

    Also, you mentioned previously that you’re able to open this link fine on your end; can you please open an incognito window on your browser and open the shared link from there, without logging into your Dropbox account? Does it still preview alright for you?

    and Yes, I can open the link in an incognito window.  I get the options to Join Folder, Copy to Dropbox or Download.  I can see the subfolders and open them and see all the files within them.  I'm able to open the files as well.

    Thanks for trying that out! Your contractor shouldn’t be having an issue then, since you can access the shared link normally. 

     

    Has she tried a different browser or an incognito window, as well?
