Files added through the desktop app to my new account haven't synced to my phone

just created my Dropbox Basic account for the first time, and I’m having a little trouble. I uploaded a few files, but I can’t seem to sync them across my devices.

 

I’m using the desktop app on Windows and also the mobile app on Android. The files appear on my desktop, but they’re not showing up on my phone.

 

Has anyone else faced this with a new Dropbox Basic account? What steps should I take to make sure everything syncs properly?

    Hi there, AbdullahN786-dev, thanks for joining the Dropbox Community!

    There are a couple of things you can check, to make sure your files are syncing across your devices.

    Assuming both devices are linked to the same Dropbox account, you'll need to take a look at your desktop app's sync status.

    On your computer, hovering over the small Dropbox icon in your system tray, will give you the sync status and version of the app. Is the app "up to date"?

    And can you access the files you uploaded from your account online?

    Let me know if the above is true, but you still can't see your files in the mobile app.
