Files being transferred from iCloud to Dropbox are reappearing in iCloud
I have 1,000s of files on five iMac's that need to be transferred from iCloud to Dropbox... unfortunately they are reappearing in my iCloud folder . Is there a configuration in iMac I need to change?...

The files are various formats...png, pdf, doc, etc. not just images (photo's)
Im dragging entire file folders each containing dozens of screen shot, documents, .. pouring them into my dropbox folder... Only to find they are reappearing in the iCloud folder such that they are not getting deleted. Im at a loss for how to solve this

Hey Renderbloom! From what you’ve described, the files should be indeed moved from iCloud to Dropbox, and not re-appearing in iCloud after that, since you’re basically removing them from it.
However, since we can’t really provide any support for iCloud, I’d definitely suggest checking this with the Apple Customer Service, in case they have more insights on why this is happening.
