Files disappeared from dropbox after moving them from mac to dropbox app in finder
Hi, I had to create space in my mac storage for a software install. I moved files into the dropbox app in my finder. Lost of files. After the other software update, dropbox app disappeared from finder. I looked on the desktop versions, my moved files weren't there. I contacted dropbox support, they suggested deleted files, events, re-installing the app on the computer, nothing worked. They want the moved files exact names, which I do not have.
There is a peculiar thing that some of the files moved from my computer appear like ghosts icons in dropbox recent files, just to disappear once dropbox loads up all the folders. So i suspect my files are somewhere, but customer service cannot find them or didn't look enough. Anyone with same problem? thank you!

Had the same issue and I tought I lost data permanently... Then I noticed it's just uploading... you can check the process from the dropbox icon next to time (on mac)
