How can I select a folder on a hard-drive to sync to Dropbox, then share with others?
Device
M2 Macbook Pro
Operating System/Browser (if using the web)
macOS 15.6.1
Dropbox App Version (if using the app)
235.4.5905
Question or Issue
I've got a folder of files that I store on an external hard drive that I'd like to have constantly syncing to dropbox so that I can easily share them while on the go etc with people. I can see that the backup option exists and will let me back these files up, but it says it won't then let me then share those files.
This is a folder I'm constantly generating new files into, so a one off upload won't work, and I need to be able to generate a sharing link for these files.
Is this possible with Dropbox currently?

Simply put, no.
Dropbox only sync's what is inside of its own directory - it wont sync files elsewhere.
So the only way to do this would be to move the files inside of the Dropbox directory and work on them in there.
