I can't upload files to Gmail anymore via the mobile app

Hey,

So this happened a while back, and I did find another topic, but I never saw a solution.

Basically, I can't upload anything through my phone from Dropbox to gmail.
Other stuff saved on my phone work fine, but not this, and it's annoying cause I either have to wait to get home to do it, or take screenshots and do it like that.

Is there any solution to this?

Hi AdyShearer! Thanks for posting this on the Community.

Can you send over more details on what happens exactly when trying to import files from your Dropbox account to Gmail? Any screenshots you can send over as visual would be very helpful, too.

Also, can you explain what you mean when saying that you need to go home to do this, or take screenshots instead? Do you mean that you’re not having issues, when connecting to your home network?

    Let me know.

It simply says "couldn't attach file".
I can't attach a SS as it's not on the screen for long :))

I mean that, if I'm on my phone, away from home, and I need to send something from Dropbox, I can either SS the thing and then it'll work, which is an extra step, or I have to wait to get home to do it from my laptop.

Thanks for clarifying that, AdyShearer! Appreciate it.

When exactly did you notice this issue? Was there an update, right before it occurred?

What if you clear the cache of the Dropbox app, and reinstall it on your mobile device? Does that seem to help at all?

Hey, sorry, I got distracted and didn't have time.

I deleted it from my phone and reinstalled. It even needed a new device when I synced, despite having the same name.
But anyway, it still doesn't work, for some reason.

As for your question, I only noticed sometime in the summer, but don't remember about updates as they generally occur.

Hey AdyShearer - sorry to jump in here, but could you walk us through the exact steps you take to do this and send us a screenshot of the last page/screen you can get to?

Any additional information is more than welcome!

    Hey,

So, i went on it again today.
I have many emails, and my Dropbox is linked with one i don't use much.
Basically, when i want to attach an item on my other emails, it doesn't work. But for some reason, when i attach it to the one i have an account with, it works.

Again, this wasn't the case before, i think, last summer.

I took some screenshots, but i don't see where i can upload them.

Hi AdyShearer, are you following these steps to attach files in the Gmail app?

Regarding your screenshots, the camera icon allows you to attach images, or you can copy and paste them into your next reply.

    Which steps?

    It's the same thing.

I didn't have the camera option on my normal phone mode. I had to put it in desktop mode.
