I see a "Folder updates in progress, please try again later" error and I can't share any folder.

Hi Dropbox team

Keep having the above message when I share a folder. I have tried to share the folder with different people or share a different folder with different people and share folders in the Incognito window, but I keep getting the same message.

Please let me know what to do.

Hi MandyWang, thanks for the info, in order to look into this matter in more detail, I'd recommend contacting the support team directly for them to investigate further.

Hi No, I have been working on the browser only. Due to the file size in some other folder, I don't see the point of using the desktop app. I have used my home network, my mobile hotspot, and my office network and have had the same issue.

Hey MandyWang, thanks for the update!

Do you use our desktop app, by any chance? If so, do you notice the same behavior when trying to share content that way?

Also, have you tried another network since you first noticed this?

    Hi Megan

I tried to clear the cache, but it still does not work. There are 10 folders in the root folder, but only 1 Word doc is in there. I was trying to share the folder with five people. I am now having an issue opening the Word doc; it keeps getting stuck on the loading screen. This is happening to every folder I built or shared with me.

Hey MandyWang, let me also jump in here!

How many files are in the folder itself? Also, how many people are you trying to share the folder with?

Have you tried clearing your browser's cache, closing it temporarily and then restarting it?

Let me know if this happens with all the folders you're creating on your end.

    Hi Nancy

Thanks for getting back to me. I have tried with both Chrome and Safari. Here is the message. this was a new build folder; there is no file open in there. The folder was built 2 hours ago.

Thanks for posting this here, MandyWang

Can you post a screenshot of the error you’re receiving, so that I can take a look?

Can you also test this via a completely different browser (if you haven’t already) and let me know what you see?

Keep me in the loop for more updates.
