I want to see all my folders in the Dropbox folder - both online-only and available offline

As per MasterOfDragon I too want to see the online folders in my Dropbox directory in the app.  I used to be able to see both online only and offline folders and files.  they were annotated with a cloud (for online only) or a green tick (offline).

I have followed the directions of https://help.dropbox.com/sync/selective-sync-overview#How-to-use-selective-sync but the problem persists.

Surely there must be a way to see what folders/files are online only without logging on to the web service.

thanks

Hey Gabriel_H, thanks for joining the Dropbox Community!

Making files online-only and available offline is different to the selective sync feature, which allows you to remove folders from your Dropbox folder, but let's see what we can find out about your issue.

When you do go to the selective sync settings, per the article you linked, do you see all your folders there? And are they checked or unchecked?

If you do not see them at all, it might be possible that they're not synced to your computer.

To find that out, we'll need to check the sync status and version of the Dropbox app on your computer, which you can see by hovering over the small Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar.

Let me know what you find and we'll go from there.

    Hi Hannah,

the sync status declares all is up to date, see below.

the folders and files are the same folders and files that i have had in Dropbox for more than a decade, albeit the new ones and the deleted ones.  i have always had most folders/files available offline.  There are some that are online only but they have always shown up as described previously.  In the last few weeks I have noticed the anomoly and have made over  a dozen attempts to correct it, all unsuccessful.  i have even uninstalled Dropbox completely and started anew, twice.  Still no success.

    thanks

Thanks for the update and the additional info here, Gabriel. I totally understand where you're coming from.

Would you mind checking your selective sync settings here and letting me know what you see there?

Do all your folders appear in the list there as checked?
