iPhone and iPad dropbox app not updating.
I have been using dropbox on my iPhone 2021 and iPad 2021, without any issues for years.
In the last month I have been having problems with files and folders updating.

Hi @Jay
Thank you for taking my question. I appreciate it.
Jay: Do the files in the Dropbox folder in Explorer have a green syncing icon, or another icon on them?
Richard: No. There are no syncing icon or any other icon connected to the files in the Dropbox (Explorer) folder. I saw this icon initially when I reinstalled dropbox. These were observed in the Dropbox (Explorer) folder as well as the desktop. These have since gone away.
Jay: Could you click the Dropbox icon in the system tray near the clock and let us know the message that appears on the bottom left?
Richard: If you hover over the Dropbox icon in the system tray a message appears that states: Dropbox 177.x.xxxx Indexing 25,122 files..."
If you click on the Dropbox icon in the system tray:
a. Sync & Back Ups Tab: (Windows Logo) PC 15.88 of 15.95 Gb backed up, 99% complete (A progress bar continually fills from left to right)
This never advances past 15.88 (or 99%). Botom left reads "Syncing 25,122 files"
b. Activity Tab: (Last 30 days) shows files I viewed 12 days ago, 18 days ago, 18 days ago, 18 days ago and 19days ago.
( Note: I view & save files everyday. Many files are missing)
Thank you.

3 years agoHi platinumad, can you kindly send us the entire number of the Dropbox app, instead of the 177 part only?
You also mentioned that the app is indexing content. Could you try fixing your hardlinks and permissions as outlined here and let us know if syncing gets stuck at the exact same number of files again?
