The context menu is missing in my Windows device.

Hi,

I've been having problems with this for months and have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times along with anything else I can find - checking the registry entries to make sure DropBox is in the first 15 etc and as far as I can tell everything is as it should be.

Today I had another go so unistalled, restarted my PC and then reinstalled - once I completed setup I opened the Dropbox folder and the DropBox options were there in the right hand menu so I thought I'd finally sorted it... but when I closed that menu and right clicked again they were no longer there...?

I wanted to get it sorted as if I can I'll upgrade my DropBox to a larger capacity / paid account but don't want to do it if I can't.  When I was looking for alternatives I installed pcloud and that works fine in the right hand menu...??

First time I right-clicked after installing... after that the DropBox options disappear, if I click show more options it's not there either although the pcloud software I installed today comes up...

And the registry...

Hey Andrew1705 - thanks for the screenshot!

It seems that you're running some other 3rd party apps that might be taking space in your right click context menu options. Could you try quitting them all temporarily, as a test, and let us know if the issue persists?

Hi Walter , I don't think that's a problem as it appeared in the first menu when I first installed and and the first time I right click - there is nothing else in that menu and as per my screenshot of the registry it's in the top 15 as requested anyway?

Andrew1705, can we log a ticket for you? We can look into this internally this way.

I have the same issue - and I have tried everything from top to bottom. And after scouring the forums and internet so do lots of other people.

At some point its time for you guys at Dropbox to get out of bed and FIX THE PROBLEM without pretending that so many of your users have a bespoke problem and you don't.

Enough with the reinstalling. Enough with the restarts. Enough with did you try this? BS.

We pay good money for your app, the least you can do is get it to work properly.

Hey snap254, thanks for posting here!

I definitely see where you're coming from, and I'd definitely like for us to get to the bottom of this.

I'd be happy to look into this for you. Could you share some additional info such as the OS you're using a long with the Dropbox version installed on your device?

Also, have you tried any troubleshooting steps on your end? I'm asking because I'd like for us to be aligned.

Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

I am having the same problem

I have tried Quitting and restarting DropBox and reinstalling DropBox.

I have DropBox version 217.4.4417 installed on Windows 10

I just recently noticed the problem but it may have existed for a while.

Hey S_Egbert, I’m sorry to hear this.

Have you already checked your Windows registry to make sure the correct permissions are set there?

Other than that, I’d like to know if you had any OS updates recently, before the issue occurred.
