'There was a problem completing this request' error when trying to share files

On Windows PC, sharing a file or folder is not working with the following error message.    
desktop
Dropbox Basic

Just to confirm, you're getting this error on the Dropbox website, right?

 

Have you tried from a different browser or a private browsing window, to see if that helps?
