Unable to attach a dropbox file to outlook for ios on my iPad Pro
Hi,
I have ios 13..3.1 (latest) on my iPad Pro. I have the most updated Outlook for Ios on my iPad. While composing an email in Outlook for ios, I am unable to attach a file from dropBox, even thougheverything is configured perfect. Even on the "Files" app, I have DropBox turned On.
When I click on "Attach File" in Outlook, I select DropBox, browse to my Folder, select a file, and then select "Attach", I see a circle going round, and then nothing happens. I am unable to return to Outlook. No file gets attached.
This has been very frustrating experience. Cabn you please help? I have tried a few "Solutions" on this Forum, but of no help.

Hey VV4, thanks for checking in with us. Let's see what we can find.
Out of curiosity, have you tried connecting your mobile device to a different WiFi network?
Do you get the same experience if you attach a file from a different location outside the Dropbox mobile app?
Keep me posted!

Answering the second part of your question, this problem exists only when I try to attach a dropbox file. Other file locations work fine.

Thanks for getting back to me, VV4.
Could you also try the following and see if they do the trick?
- Clear your Dropbox mobile app's cache.
- Toggle the option to have Dropbox as a location on your Files app off and on again.
Give them a try and let me know how you get on. Cheers!

I tried both the steps you indicated, but problem still persists. I also noticeed that I am unable to save any files to dropBox either. The save button is greyed out.

Hmm. Have you by any chance also tried the below steps in the following order, VV4?
- Uninstalling the Dropbox mobile app.
- Rebooting.
- Reinstalling the Dropbox mobile app.

Thanks, Lusil!
I tried steps 1,2 and 3 in that order. No solution. Unable to attach a copy from DropBox nor am I able to save a file (grayed) to DropBox. I also tried turning Off and On again in Files app for DropBox.
Problem still remains!

Hey VV4, thanks for trying out those steps!
Can you let us know if you're able to export the file from Dropbox to the Outlook app? You can check the exact steps to do this from here.
Also, have you perhaps set up a passcode for the Dropbox mobile app?
Let me know!

Daphne:
I am always able to export a file from DropBox to Outlook on my iPad Pro. However, when I try to attach a file from DropBox in my Outlook email, I am unable to do so. I should be able to attach multiple files from DropBox on my Outlook email.
I have setup passcode on my DropBox account, but Files app does not like DropBox when passcode is enabled. I get a reqiust from Files ap to disable DropBox app.
Bottomline, there is a problem connecting Outlook on IOS to DropBox for file attachments. None of what has been suggested so far has helped Solve tghis problem. I appreciate your continued efforts to address this problem.
