Unable to upload .mov videos
Trying to upload big mov files to Dropbox Professional account but error messages tells me that these files are not taken by Dropbox and cannot be transfered...anybody knows what to do?
I figured it out. I did not notice that some of the files were not local but in the icloud... I had to down load them first to drag them or upload them to dropbox. Might work for you.

Hi TGNY, I'm sorry to hear about this.
Are you uploading the files directly to the Dropbox site, or via the mobile app? What steps have you tried so far?
- TGNY6 years agoExplorer | Level 3
I have tried both the web-based browser and the desktop app. I have not tried mobile as the video is on my laptop

What error are you getting in the desktop app when you hover over the Dropbox icon in the system tray/menu bar?
Have you allowed time for the video to upload, since it does depend on your bandwidth in the app, and the speed from the ISP?

I am in the process of uploading again, it shows varying speeds from 80-180kbps. I did a speed check on the upload speed and it is 1.25mbps at my hotel room. It's been uploading for 25 min now.

If you're referring to 1.25mbps for the upload speed, then it should approximate to 156.25 KB/s.
Assuming there isn't an increase or decrease in speed, then for a 650 MB file, it should take 69.33 minutes to upload.

Hi,
Since March we have had issues with uploading files.
.mov, .zip, etc...
Error upload, just at the end.
so after 1-6 hours, uploading 13-50 GB, error.
after 3-4 tries, it usually works.
Using Mac OS High Sierra and Mojave (file System is APS).
Same issues when using external HFS+ drives.
Error while using Firefox and Chrome, and the DropBox desktop.

I'm experiencing the same thing. My large MOV. file is on my computer and external hard drive. It's telling me it can't upload because it's a large file in the cloud. What is this madness? Please, help.

Sorry to hear you're having issues with this Clomax; could you post a screenshot of the exact error you get?

Hello,
I am also having issues with uploading MOV files. It says the following files are not supported and could not be uploaded. Do the rest of you also have the same issue? I am using the web based version as my computer is too small to download the app.
