When I try to upload a Quickbooks backup I get the error "Can’t load this file type."

When I try to upload a Quickbooks backup (~300MB) to Dropbox I get the error "Can’t load this file type  This file type is unsupported here."  What causes the error, and why does DB care?

Would you mind clarifying which of our platforms you're using when trying to upload your Quickbooks? 

 

Do you use our desktop, or mobile app or website?

    I clicked on the link I was given which opened a browser window on my PC

      Hey godfreyp! Sorry to jump in here. 

       

      In general, we recommend that you don’t sync live databases with Dropbox, such as Quickbooks, as this may cause issues along the way. Most databases should have remote access methods as well, so you don't need to sync the live database. You can try uploading saved snapshots, however, with no issues.

        So is DB acting as a nursemaid and preventing me from moving a .QBB file?  If I zipped it would it work?
