I copied a huge folder → space used has not gone up
I copied a huge folder from the web interface. The space used in Settings/Plan has not gone up (both on the web and the apps).
Do server-side copies not take additional space like on the Mac (with APFS file system)?
Or is this some sort of bug or delay?
I really would not love it to suddenly go up in a few hours or days or more.
I have Dropbox Business Advanced account.
It was delayed. It updated now.

Hi HailAlistair, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you clarify what you mean by 'copied a huge folder'?
Did you download it to your computer, copied it to another account, duplicated it on your account, or something else?
This will help me to assist further!

I went to dropbox web, selected the huge folder, right-clicked, clicked "Copy", selected a destination in my Dropbox, pressed "Copy", waited for the copy to finish, checked from the admin "Content" page that the size and number of files were the same as the original, they were.
So I then checked how much storage I had left after the copy, but the "Used Space" has not changed, both in Settings/Plan on the web, or in the apps.

Did you change the sharing permissions of either folder?
