My account keeps saying it's full - but it isn't
Hi - I have a 6.3 GB basic account with less that 1.2 GB of data in it, but I keep getting notifications saying the account is full, and it isn't syncing. I've double checked my folders and cleaned out all deleted items, but it makes no difference. I have been unable to contact any sort of support through the website, so am hoping someone might know how to fix this. Thanks.

I see, thanks for checking.
Would you mind confirming that you also have the same Dropbox account linked to your computer, as on the Dropbox website?
To check that, click on the Dropbox icon in your system tray, then on your initials/profile pic, then on 'preferences' and then on 'account'.
Do you see the same email address as here?

Yes, it's the same. Where are "regular files" hidden? That is what is taking up space, but I can't find them

Hi SOpp, and sorry for jumping in here.
In general, your regular files include any content that’s not shared with anyone else (you’d be seeing these files on your All files tab and your Backup page).

There are no files in either of those tabs but my account says I'm full and it is regular files. There are files somewhere in the background that is filling my dropbox and we cannot find them. Can you find them?

Hey SOpp, sorry to jump in, but could you send us a screenshot of your account's plan tab to check your quota breakdown?
- SOpp4 years agoExplorer | Level 4
I have sent this several times.

Hey again, SOpp!
Do you mind if we open a ticket for you instead, and investigate this further?
If that’s OK, we can message you directly to the email address that’s linked to your Community profile here.
