not enough storage?
Although i have used 200 MB dropbox says that i am running out of storage.
What could be the problem?
I don't use backups.
Hi karin57, definitely.
However, each new Basic account will have 2GB. If the folder exceeds that, I'm not sure opening a new account would help.

Hi karin57, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Where are you getting a warning saying that you're running out of quota? I can't see this on your screenshot.
This will help me to assist further!

- karin573 years agoHelpful | Level 6

By 'shared map', do you mean a shared folder? How large is the shared folder you're trying to add to your account?
- karin573 years agoHelpful | Level 6
Yes i mean shared folder. Excuses in Holland it is called map.
the shared folder is 2,6 Gb.
But i used before another dropboxaccount with another emailadress and then I saw both folders.
I deleted that dropbox and now I have this storage problem.

Hi karin57, if the shared folder is 2,6GB and your account is a Basic one, with 2GB quota then you wouldn't be able to add it to your account.
Shared folders take up space on both the sender's Dropbox account, as long as in the recipient's too.
When you mentioned that you used another Dropbox account, and saw both folders, I'm not sure I got that one right. Can you explain and give me some more info, please?

The person who shares the dropbox with me has just like me a free account.
How is it possible that she can open everything?

That is right. I used a dropbox with my emailadress removed
and I also used one with removed
The shared folders were shared with both of the adresses. I could open both folders on [email removed as per Community Guidelines] but only 1 at [email removed as per Community Guidelines]
To find a solution I deleted the REMOVED dropbox and hoped that I than could open both folders at the other adress.
