Apple Silicon (M1) Desktop Sync Compatibility
Please can you upgrade the Dropbox app so that it works natively on Apple Silicon Macs (M1) without Rosetta.
Rosetta is not an option as it annihilates the battery.
This may be a duplicate of the below idea however that started for ARM processors in general and you haven't looked at it in 6 years so starting an Apple specific idea in the hope you see it.
There are also lots of comments on this thread to help support the case for demand:
Hi all,
Native Apple silicon support is now fully available. All users with Apple silicon devices will receive the native version of Dropbox automatically. If you would like to update your device manually, you can do so by clicking on the latest Stable Build and downloading the Offline Installer (Apple Silicon) file. For more information, visit the Dropbox Help Center. If you need assistance with anything else, please feel free to create a new thread and our community team will be happy to assist.

Do I understand correctly that I cannot test the Apple Silicon version on my M1 Macs without exposing my other Macs to beta software? The switch seems to be available only at the user level.

Hey everyone,
I did everything that was asked on Dropbox Help to get access to "Early releases" and use a native app on an M1 MBP... but a month later I didn't get a notification, or link to download it and when I download the app I need to use Rosetta... am I doing something wrong? is there a direct link to download the Apple Silicon Beta?
any help will be priceless π

I believe that answer is a yes given the experience I just had with the new Intel version overwriting the M1 beta when I didn't have the toggle switched on because of other Macs in the house. Had installed the beta manually.

Hi there,
I got a Macbook Pro M1 13", I downloaded the Dropbox app on my computer but I'm not able to install it. I did some research and said I need to join the Early Release program. I turned that on and I still haven't received any details to install it. Please help. I am not able to use Dropbox.

Hi all,
I just wanted to mention that starting today, native Apple silicon support will begin automatically rolling out, with availability to all users in the coming weeks.
ββWhile this rollout is in progress, users can receive immediate access to native support by opting in to our early releases. For more information, you can visit this Help Center article.

Does the latest build do anything to improve the amount of memory dropbox is using? It's by far the largest memory hog on my M1 machine.
