Cannot move dropbox folder due to backup

Hi

I want to move my Dropbox folder from C: to my 😧 drive (local).

However, Dropbox tells me that before it can do this, I need to disable PC Backup. But I don't have any active PC Backups. I deleted the existing PC Backup tasks. When I go to the tab "Backups" in Settings it still shows me two PCs, one being deactivated and the other one still active. I have not been able to find a way to get rid of these two backups. They disappeared momentarily but reappeared after I restarted DropBox.

How can I disable "Dropbox Backup" completely (I don't need it, and it still is a "beta" version anyway!).

  • Hi Nancy
    Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I did and there were no backup tasks left, but the error still came up.
Finally, I solved the problem by completely uninstalling and reinstalling Dropbox Desktop.

    It works fine now.
    Thanks anyway.

    Welcome to the Community, Wabla!

Did you follow these steps to disable computer backup?

If yes, and you’re still having trouble with this, I’d like you to send me a screenshot of what you see on this page.

Let me know how it goes.
