Hello Everybody,
For any users running Windows 7 without Service Pack 1, Beta Release 171.3.6071 should get your Desktop app working again. Please let us know if you experience any issues after installing the beta release and I can pass that information on.
Best,
Ben

Hi Everybody,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I have informed the appropriate team, who is looking into why the 168.4.4802 update may be causing connectivity issues for our Windows 7 users. We will post an update here when we have more information.
It looks like this is happening to users without SP1 installed, and I understand that not everybody is able to install SP1. Is anyone with Windows 7 SP1 experiencing this same issue?
Regards,
Ben

Hi,
Mt Dropbox app has stopped syncing since last 8 days.... I have deleted & reinstalled many times, it says "this computer is not connected to the internet", however the internet is working just fine.

Hi all!
I have been using Dropbox for a long time and installed it on multiple devices. On the last several days, I noticed Dropbox on my Window 07 computer stopped working. Upon clicking on the Dropbox icon, it kept running the Icon Animation "Starting" and refused to connect/start the app. I have tried quitting the app, restarting, disabling Firewall and all but had no success.
I then uninstalled and tried to reinstall the Dropbox app. However, though the app is installed (as I c, Ian see it in my Control Panel), it showed the message "Your computer is not connected to Internet..." and did not pop-up any following message. I have checked my Internet and found that I could log in to the website version of Dropbox just fine, along with the other websites. Wondering if it's my house' Internet problem, I brought my Laptop to some cafe shops but the same problem persisted. Upon checking the Forum, I have also tried the stable build installer. This installer pop-up the same message (computer not connected to Internet) without installing the app.
Without any solution, I would like to ask your assistance, as to what should I do to solve the problem. If you have any idea of what the problem is, or what I should do to improve the situation, I would really appreciate it. 😓

Hey ATC International, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
You mentioned that you tried installing the newest stable version of the app, which didn't work.
Can you also try the offline installer, to see if that helps?
Make sure to also check Ben's reply here.
Let me know and we'll go from there.

Hi!
I installed version 166.4.2920, then deleted the Update folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Dropbox folder.
So far everything is working well and without updates.

Hi Hannah! Thanks for your swift reply. I have tried the Offline Installer, but it displayed the same error message (Your computer is not connected to the Internet, please check etc.).
Thanks to your recommendation, I have checked Ben's reply on the thread about Dropbox on Window 7, which doesn't seem to have a concrete solution there. Is SP1 he mentioned on his comment is necessary to fix this bug? As I'm clueless about SP1, if so, do you have any clue as to how to install it?
