Can't open Dropbox folder with Explorer (Windows 10)
I have been using DB for several years without problem. Today I find I cannot open folders in my Dropbox folder on my C: drive with Explorer. I can see them if I use the web app. I have rebooted and reinstalled the program, to no avail. If I click on it, I get the hourglass, which will not stop unless I forcibly close it with Task Manager. Any ideas? Rather desperate here. I do have another Dropbox account through my institution, but it does not reference this folder.

Hey Kris Loveman Elliott, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Have you tried reinstalling the desktop app on your computer at all lately?
You can find the latest version here, if needed.

Yes, that would be it topoloco2000 - thanks for the screenshot!
Can you also send us a screenshot of the error (or the last screen you can get to) when navigating your Dropbox folder through the Windows File Explorer?

I did that in an earlier message, please check attachments. As I said, NO ERROR msgs, it just won't open the folder. The little hourglass comes up and won't leave.

Hey topoloco2000, if you just close the Dropbox app, does the issue persist? Or do they folders open with the app closed?
And does this happen only with specific folders in your Dropbox folder, or all of them?

If I close the app, ALL of the folders in the /Dropbox folder cannot be accessed. I can open /Dropbox after a long wait, but nothing inside it.

Thanks for clarifying that for us. Are you running any security software like antivirus, firewalls or VPN/proxies by any chance topoloco2000?
