Trouble opening files/folders after a Windows update. The device is slow.
after a win 11 update dropbox is painfully slow opening folders and files in file explorer. on my win 10 computer there are no issues

and keep in mind there is no issue in the same setup on my win 10 computer, so it is some issue between dropbox and win 11 file explorer

2 years agoHey attydave - sorry to jump in here, but could you let us know the version and status of the Dropbox desktop app that's installed on the affected device?
Is it 'up to date' or still syncing? Also, are the files that show this behavior online only or is this happening for files that are available offline on your computer as well?

194.4.6267
up to date
all files/folders (online only or already used thus available offline) in file explorer details pane (but not folders in the quick access pane)
lag time is 20-25 seconds to open
again, works file in my win 10 computer- no lag there

Got it, and I'm assuming that when you quit the app, and then try to re-create the same behavior with your Quick Access, everything works fine then attydave?

Not sure I understand what you are saying. Quick access always works fine, but only so many folders can be there..
