Windows app for s-mode not working
The windows app for s-mode does not work anymore. It freeze during the log in process.
An app upgrade gone wrong?
Sorry to jump in here, harsve!
Do you perhaps have some kind of security app, like an antivirus, VPN, firewall, etc. installed, that could be blocking the app from working correctly?

Hey harsve, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Can you please let me know if you're getting any specific error or if you're getting stuck on a particular screen?
If you could send us a screenshot, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!

Here is a screenshot of the frozen log in. I´m using an HP-laptop.

Our debate team uses dropbox, but I use a microsoft surface so I have to use the Dropbox S Mode version (which is fine I guess). However, after having to re login, whenever I input my credentials and hit enter there's a blank white pop up that seemingly is attempting to be a loading screen or a dialogue box. Shortly after, the app crashes.
Note: the app was working fine even on windows 11, but now for some reason the app won't allow any login attempts
Note 2: reinstalling, updating, restarting all don't solve

Hi NDawson, how are you today?
Can you send me a screenshot of the white pop-up screen that you see, when having to log-in?
Keep me posted!

Hey ryguyone and NDawson, I've moved your posts under this thread, since they're about the same issue.
Can you also check if you have any security apps, like the ones I mention in my reply above, that might be affecting the Dropbox for S Mode app?

I turned off Microsoft Defender Firewall and back on again and it seemed to do the trick. Thank you for your help!

Yep, specifically turning microsoft defender firewall off and on again solved.
Thanks
