Hi ccowap, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?
This will help me to assist further!

I have been having the same problem with my windows desktop app for almost a year now. Windows firewall is set to allow all 3, domain, private, and public communication for Dropbox.
Please help, Dropbox is so much less useful when you have to do everything through a browser.

I had to uninstall and re-unstall DB
and then completely re-sync all the files to a new folder.
DB default folder name format changed while doing that - (which was odd) out of interest.

Hey Melissa11, sorry to you see you're having this issue.
Did you happen to try what ccowap suggested that worked for them, to see if it helps you too?
- Geoffrey F.3 years agoExplorer | Level 4Hi, I'm seeing what appears to be 2 blue boxes, these change shape whilst rotating to the left.
This is the in the setup up window.
I have about 3k photos and about 800 videos.
Do I wait for to do whatever it's doing?
I'm not sure what it's doing?
Please advise
Many thanks - Megan3 years ago

Hi Geoffrey F., let's jump right into this!
How long has it been like that? Normally, the app should move forward from the set-up window, and begin syncing.
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!
- Geoffrey F.3 years agoExplorer | Level 4Hi
I installed Dropbox 6pm last night.
The setup Dropbox was still open and doing the same as I mentioned in my original post at 11am today.
I've closed the setup window.
And shut down my pc.
Thanks for your help, regards GF. - Hannah3 years ago

Thanks for the update here, Geoffrey F..
Can you please check the sync status of the app and let us know what you find?
You can see this info, by hovering over the Dropbox icon in your system tray.
- Geoffrey F.3 years agoExplorer | Level 4Hi
No status displayed when I hover the mouse pointer.
This is after 5 or 6 of restarting syc first syn.
I give up! This is nothing against you, you have been extremely helpful.
Many Thanks

Hey Geoffrey F., I understand that this isn't ideal, but I definitely want to help you with that.
I'd suggest that you uninstall the app, and try to install it again, using the offline installer. If you end up giving this a go, let me know.
