Access Blocked: Dropbox's request does not comply with Google policies.

Hi

I am trying to open an Excel workbook via Dropbox on my S24 Ultra so that it will save directly to it.

I go through the log in process for Dropbox in Excel and I'm getting a message saying "Access blocked: Dropbox's request does not comply with Google's policies".

I've tried add Dropbox directly in the app and I get the same message. Please help!

    Hi

After receiving no response I have reinstalled the Dropbox app on my mobile. This has restored the function to view a preview in Dropbox. What steps should I take from here to connect to Excel on my mobile so that I can edit the document?

    Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the info. Could you try opening the Dropbox mobile, and then open an Excel file to edit it from within the app.

You should get a prompt to connect Dropbox to Microsoft Office, which should then allow you to edit the file.

    Hi Jay,

I have just tried this and I'm getting exactly the same issue. It wants me to log in to Dropbox and I get the 'Access blocked' screen as above.

If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try uninstalling the app, rebooting the device, and re-installing it.

Afterwards, as my colleague mentioned previously, could you try signing in with your email directly instead of using the Google Sign In feature?

Could you also try to create a new Excel file from within the Dropbox mobile app itself?

Lastly, have you tried signing out of your Microsoft account in Excel to see if this helps?

Thanks for this, Jay. I'll try this tomorrow and will let you know how it goes.
