Dropbox unstable in iPad OS Files App.
The problem I have is that Dropbox seems to crash when running on an iPAD via the apple files app. If I open an application that uses the files app, such as Pages or Final Draft, when saving to the Dropbox via the files app, it crashes the app and for the next 4 to 5 minutes if I click on drop box via the files app it just doesn’t load.
Apple has confirmed this is a Dropbox issue (I raised it with them first), and I have not been able to crash the application(s) using Google Drive via files in the same way.
Can anyone help?
We recently upgraded the syncing experience between the Files and Dropbox and it should be more reliable now. Ensure that your Dropbox app is upgraded to receive the full benefits of this experience!

Hey AM1981, sorry to jump in here and happy Friday!
Would you mind letting us know what troubleshooting steps you've already tried?
Like, have you tried to uninstall the Dropbox app, restart your device and then reinstall it?
Have you made sure that you have enough free memory on your device? The Dropbox app needs about 500 mb of free memory to work correctly.
What else did you try on your end?

I’m sorry to report that the latest update of the dropbox app did not fix the problem.
I also suspect that apple is to blame as well, because they are making the life of every repository other than iCloud impossible these days.

Have uninstalled and reinstalled both Dropbox and files app.
I have emptied cache on Dropbox app
i have enough free memory on ipad
i have turned iPad on and off
i have spoken to apple who say the problem is with Dropbox app
i have chatted with Dropbox person who asked for screenshots but couldn’t say what to do further.
It makes my work almost impossible.
I’m clearly not the only one experiencing this. Have you found a solve for this or do i need to stop using Dropbox?

Last time I checked I also still had the same issue.
But this is not the only problem:
When I copy f.e. some pictures in the Files app to the Dropbox folder, it only uploads some of them and generally seems to mess up a lot of things, creating duplicates, hanging on error messages. A total mess! Almost impossible to fix afterwards, as it starts reuploading some of the photos even after I canceled everything and deleted the folder.
The only solution right now is to use OneDrive or similar.

Hey AM1981, thanks for the update.
Can we actually send you an email, so we can look into this internally?
As for you superuser, I'm sorry to see you're also having issues.
The issues you mentioned, do you experience them only when using the Dropbox mobile app on your iPad?
And what kind of error messages are you getting?

I have the same problem, on Files, Apple Mail and in Safari it gets lost and won’t show the files. Quite frustrating, he seems to have got worse over the last few months. I can’t recall having the problem when I started using Dropbox.
