I changed subscription (Dropbox team to my own 3 TB) and all folders are now empty

 Hi,

lately I closed my team profile from my compagny. I changed to a personal 3 tb subscription and suddenly all folder are emty. Although I used to be the one who could change everything.

I changed files to an new folder in the hope it was a sync problem. It was not and using rewind ended up losing everything.

What can I do now? I am a bit afraid that i lost 2tb of information and work.
Doe anyone have a clue how to get my files back?
Kind regards Jobbe

    Hi @Jobbe,

    Thanks for reaching out.

I understand how stressful this must be to lose access to all that data.

Can we first check if the files were accidentally deleted when you switched to this account?

If you log into the account on the web and check for the "Deleted files" section to see if anything was removed. If they are there, you can restore them.  Is this the case?

    Hi pedro,

Thanx for replying. I’ve checked deleted files, but no.
I have the feeling that I got the folders but, since all files were online only it did not copy the files. Could it has something to do with that?
Though it should not work like that.

Hi Jobbe, could you also check the events page to see if the files were moved to a different location?

Were the files already on the site before you made the change?

Sorry Jay, last week i couldn't reply. I checked the events list: here happened a lot. It said from about the change of subscriptions there were moved an deleted 10 thousands of files, then made new folders and stuff. For me it is just that i want to get back to the situation just before the subscription was changed 16 okt. There it became a personal account over a teams situation. I Have to admit that i only half understand what i see if i read back al the options to get stuff back.
    But the files were there.

    Does this answer help?

Again sorry for not responding a while

Thanks for the info. I'd recommend contacting the support team directly for them to investigate this matter in more detail on their end to see if they can locate these files.
