Suspected fraudulent charge attempt
There has been a suspected fraudulent charge attempt on my credit card from Dropbox but I am unable to speak to anyone about this. I have the transaction ID but the lookup tool is not working for me. Can someone from Dropbox contact me please? Thank you

Hey rowoo, thanks for reaching out to our us!
If they payment has not been processed and settled on your end, there's no way for us to identify it, I'm afraid.
Do you have an account that recently joined a Dropbox trial perhaps? Because our trials are autorenewing, so that would explain the attempt.
Keep me posted! - rowoo5 years agoExplorer | Level 3
Hi @Hannah, thanks for your reply.
I have the transaction id (vrlty7d55rhf) and can supply my credit card details. Can you not trace from this information?
I haven’t joined a Dropbox trial recently.
Thanks.

They have just tried to charge my card under Dropbox*vrlty7d55rhf and Dropboxinc. I have also not signed up for subscription lately. Could this be looked at please?

Hey kino2, thanks for the nudge here.
Have you tried searching for the payment through our lookup tool? - AlexandruC5 years agoNew member | Level 2Had the same experience and it was the same account: [Removed as per Community Guidelines]. My mobile banking app warned me on Sep 14th about my card being used for a trial Dropbox subscription. Within minutes the same card has been used for a couple of fraudulent payments to Mirosoft, probably by the same individual, so I blocked and then cancelled the card, as it was clearly compromised.
- IGOTHACKED13 years agoExplorer | Level 3Hi, my debit card details have been used in a fraudulent transaction to sign up for a Dropbox account. I have the debit card details and the transaction code. I have had enough speaking to the bank to help me with this issue. I hope Dropbox can assist me in getting my money back. Thank you!

Hey IGOTHACKED1, sorry to hear that.
May we reach out via email to have a further look internally?
